Background
Since January 2020, Vincent Martinot-Lagarde is Executive Vice President Services, he is in charge of all Services activities for Naval Group (formely DCNS).
From October 2014 to December 2019, Vincent Martinot-Lagarde was SSN Barracuda Program Director, he managed the new generation of nuclear attack submarine for the French Navy.
From January 2013 to October 2014, Vincent Martinot-Lagarde was Managing Director of Naval Group facilities in Lorient. Over 2000 people are working in Lorient under his responsibility. Naval Group facilities in Lorient cover Engineering and Production of Naval vessels (from 1000 to 8000 tons).
From 2010 to early 2013, he was FREMM Programs Manager. He led in particular the final phase of the qualification of the First of Class (FOC Aquitaine), successfully delivered to the French Navy in November 2012.
Vincent Martinot-Lagarde held from 2006 to 2010 in Cherbourg several positions in the management board of the Engineering branch of Naval Group (Director of Operations, Director of the Hull, Structural and Outfitting design), which encompassed both Submarine and Surface ship design.
Previously, Vincent Martinot-Lagarde, served from 2003 to 2006 as the Assistant Naval Attache, deputy for naval systems to the Defense Cooperation Attache at the French Embassy in Washington DC.
Before moving to the US, he was the Program Manager of the SAW ARI II Saudi frigate program in the Naval Group Lorient shipyard. The scope of activities placed under the responsibility of Vincent Martinot-Lagarde covered the design and production of three frigates, their ILS, technical training as well as training and maintenance infrastructures in Saudi Arabia.
In his previous assignment, Vincent Mat1inot-Lagarde worked as a Naval Architect for various surface ship programs, from OPVs through frigates to the French Nuclear Aircraft Carrier “Charles de Gaulle”.
Vincent Martinot-Lagarde graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1989 and joined Naval Group in 1991. He is also a graduate from ENSTA Engineering School ( 1991) and holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (Massachusetts Institute of Technology 1991 ), and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy (Industrial College of Armed Forces 2003), Senior Acquisition Course (Defense Acquisition University 2003).
He is married and father of seven children.
