On 28 August 2022, BDNC’s divers joined 75 other divers from the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Eastern Fleet Commander, Sabah Regional Marine Police (PPM), Sabah State Security Council (MKN Sabah), Agency Malaysian Maritime Enforcement (APMM) Sabah, Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) and Green Diver Club for the HQ Eastern Fleet Merdeka Mega Dive 2022 at Pulau Udar and Pulau Peduk.
This event aimed not only to help clean the beach and ocean but also spread patriotism among participants in conjunction with Malaysia’s 65th Independence Day, with the divers waving Malaysian and Sabah State flags while diving.
